A tribute to the resilience and patience of the people of Gaza, and a collective movement to stand alongside them.
The "Madleen" represents the unwavering spirit of the Palestinians who refuse to accept injustice. Our campaign honors the courage of all who have sailed these waters before us, carrying hope across the Mediterranean.
From every corner of the world, we unite in peaceful resistance. 1000 ships from many nations will converge to break the Israeli genocidal blockade through the power of international civil society.
Our mission is organized around clear objectives and coordinated international action.
Coordinate 1000 ships from multiple nations to converge and sail together toward Gaza, creating an unprecedented peaceful maritime demonstration.
Challenge the illegal blockade through peaceful resistance, bringing international attention to the humanitarian crisis and demanding open borders.
Build an international coalition of civil society organizations, activists, and supporters committed to justice and human rights.
But let's be clear: the number is symbolic .
We may sail with fewer boats. We will not passively wait for an exact figure.
What matters is to act, together and with determination.
Whether we sail with one, ten, one hundred or one thousand boats, the meaning remains the same.
Whether you want to sail or participate from land, there are several ways you can actively contribute to the success of this citizen initiative.
Together we have the power to create a movement that has never been done before – a large number of boats sailing together to break the illegal blockade of Gaza in place since 2004.
Collectively, we could create a historic citizens' movement if we mobilize to the level of the horror we are witnessing, with the complicity of our states.
To enable this massive mobilization, here are various actions, not exhaustive, to put in place at home.
For the flotilla to set sail, we need boats ready to brave the sea and carry our message to Gaza. We need to buy them, equip them, and prepare them.
Our immediate objective: to raise €300,000 to form the flotilla and finance the navigation, in particular:
The strength of a movement is also its ability to create places for meeting, discussion, emotion, and collective engagement.
This is why we are calling on committed artists and venues to organize evenings in support of the flotilla : concerts, open mics, poetry readings, film screenings and debates, round tables, exhibitions, charity sales, festive evenings, and more. If you are organizing an event:
Make your city vibrate for Gaza!
The flotilla is being built at sea and everywhere, thanks to local support groups active in dozens of cities. Joining or forming a local group means participating in meetings, actions, posters, and collections. And above all, contributing to a grassroots dynamic that is essential for exerting pressure, uniting, and giving political strength to the project. Don't have a group near you yet? No worries: start one! Even with two or three people, you can get started. There are several options available to you to join the French delegation:
In this emergency context, it is crucial to make the "Thousand Madleens to Gaza" initiative heard well beyond activist circles. To this end, we are forming a Citizens' Task Force to contact public figures who are already committed to Palestine, or whose values (social justice, international solidarity, the fight against oppression) are consistent with our struggle. The objective? To offer them:
Artists, athletes, elected officials, journalists, influencers, activists: their words can make a difference and it is up to us, collectively, to build bridges, to contact them, to provide them with the necessary tools (visuals, texts, videos, documentation), and to make them want to get involved with us.
Are you comfortable with writing, social media, video, human contact, or coordination? Or are you simply motivated to spread the word? Then join the Task Force !
Write to us now at [email protected] and think about installing Telegram now where all this will be organized.
The success of this flotilla also depends on our ability to make it visible, everywhere, all the time. You don't need to be a communications expert: just talk about it, create momentum, and circulate information, images, and calls for action. You can :
Grow the movement. Spread the word about Gaza.
